It was 4:13AM (16th September 2012), I received a text message saying “Doctor Mavayya is no more”. It was shock to me and felt the world upside down a moment. Being bad at expressing my feelings, I was dead stunned recollecting the memories of him. Cold tears rolled down on my cheeks (though I was thinking about absolutely nothing) brought back me to this world saying this is what you are feeling after hearing the loss.
What is death? Death is a word applicable to mere mortals. My mom told me that death is nothing but – end of the person. If that is the case, then Dcotor Barla Lakshmi Vara Prasad Rao Naidu is an immortal. There is no end to him. He is with everyone. He saved uncountable lives and became God to them (everyone).
“I want to be a doctor…”, “I want to become like HIM…” these are the common sentences one can usually hear from the next generation kids in the village (Narsipuram) and surrounding villages. Who is he? A person whose name became synonym to Doctor! The benevolent person’s smile itself is a cure to many human diseases.
He was a born leader. Good at everything. First in achieve everything in the village. And following the saying – “God takes away all great people first”, he stood first in his generation reaching the God. The Godly human is not among the humans now.
He became a demy God not just because he is a doctor but just because he a person with greatest humanity. He helped so many families financially as well as morally and now the only altruist of the era is no more.
Bidding farewell to the magnanimous person is very hard. He may not be physically with us but he is imperishable among hearts of everyone.
It is an unrecoverable loss not only to the family but also to the community and society.
